Initiatives & Portfolios
Initiative Type
An Initiative Type allows to characterize the nature of an Initiative, for instance “Project” or “Enhancement”.
Add an Initiative Type
- Click on the
icon of the “Initiative types” panel,
- Enter for each language a name and a description,
- Check the “Selectable” box if the Type is active,
- Save.
Edit an Initiative Type
- Click on the
icon for the wished Type in the “Initiative types” panel,
- Edit the attributes,
- Save.
Remove an Initiative Type
- Click on the
icon for the wished Type in the “Initiative types” panel,
- Confirm that you want to delete this Initiative Type.
Release Type
An Release Type allows to characterize the nature of an Release, for instance “Release IT1”.
Add a Release Type
- Click on the
icon of the “Release types” panel,
- Enter for each language a name and a description,
- Check the “Selectable” box if the Type is active,
- Save.
Edit a Release Type
- Click on the
icon for the wished Type in the “Release types” panel,
- Edit the attributes,
- Save.
Remove a Release Type
- Click on the
icon for the wished Type in the “Release types” panel,
- Confirm that you want to delete this Release Type.
Dependency Type
A Dependency Type allows to characterize the nature of an Initiative/Release's Dependency, for instance “Precedes” or “Blocks”.
A Dependency Type is defined by a 2-directions relation. For example we can say:
- The Initiative/Release 1 precedes the Initiative/Release 2
- The Initiative/Release 2 follows the Initiative/Release 1
This relation is defined by a unique Dependency Type with name “Precedes” and contrary “Follows”.
Add a Dependency Type
- Click on the
icon of the “Dependency types” panel,
- Enter for each language a name, a contrary and a description,
- Check the “Active” box if the Type is active,
- Save.
Edit a Dependency Type
- Click on the
icon for the wished Type in the “Dependency types” panel,
- Edit the attributes,
- Save.
Delete a Dependency Type
- Click on the
icon for the wished Type in the “Dependency types” panel,
- Confirm that you want to delete this Type.
Portfolio type
A Portfolio Type allows to characterize the nature of a Portfolio, for instance “Program” or “IT”.
Add a Portfolio Type
- Click on the
icon of the “Portfolio types” panel,
- Enter for each language a name and a description,
- Check the “Selectable” box if the Type is active,
- Save.
Edit an Initiative Type
- Click on the
icon for the wished Type in the “Portfolio types” panel,
- Edit the attributes,
- Save.
Remove an Initiative Type
- Click on the
icon for the wished Type in the “Portfolio types” panel,
- Confirm that you want to delete this Portfolio Type.
