→ To get access to the Reporting page, the permission REPORTING_VIEW_ALL_PERMISSION or REPORTING_VIEW_AS_VIEWER_PERMISSION is required.
The access rights for a report are explained in the Administrator guide.
The reporting page is composed by 2 areas:
- The reporting categories which allow to find quickly a report, they can be managed in the administration.
- The list of reports for the selected category.
Download a report
To download a report, the User should click on a report row. A new page is also displayed in order to configure the report.
All reports contains at least 2 configurations:
- Language: the wished language for the output file.
- Format: the output file format, it can be PDF, Excel, Word, PowerPoint or CSV (depending of the report).
Then, depending of the report, some Report parameters are displayed. In the above example, the user should also select a Portfolio.
To generate the report, the User should click on “Generate”.
The content of a Report is not correlated to the permissions of the corresponding objects (all Users get the same Report). The restriction should be done on the Report itself, see the Report's access rights section.
To improve the performance, the reports are generated asynchronously. This implies that when clicking on “Generate” a parallel task (that creates the report) is started and only when the report is ready, a notification is sent with a link to download the file. During the creation task, the BizDock application can be used as usually.
